IND vs PAK Pitch Report: The arch-rivals will meet again today as the battle for continental supremacy continues in Dubai.
It’s time once again. Perhaps a little too early when it comes to an India-Pakistan cricket contest, but the arch-rivals will meet today in their first match of the ‘Super 4’ stage of the 2022 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Stadium.
After decimating India by 10 wickets in last year’s ICC T20 World Cup at this very venue, Pakistan was edged out by India a few days ago, in their opening match of the ongoing competition by 5 wickets at this very venue again.

With the venue set to host these old rivals for the third time in a row, both teams have had some injury scares ahead of the contest. While Team India will be without the services of their all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and most likely pacemaker Avesh Khan as well, a suspected lateral strain has ruled Pakistani pacemaker Shahnawaz Dahani out of today’s clash as well.
While India is yet to be beaten in the tournament so far, the Babar Azam-led side are also full of confidence, after recording their biggest win in terms of runs in the T20 format against Hong Kong a couple of days ago.

IND vs PAK Pitch Report
“This is a proper grass field where there is a lot of grass. It will be more about bowling than hitting. All the grass is in bunches, which means the ball will definitely come together,” commented Sanjay Manjrekar and Wasim Akram before the first match of the Asia Cup 2022 between these two teams.
The prediction turned out to be true as the Indian fast bowlers literally bounced off a large number of their batsmen, while also managing to start all 10 wickets for the first time in a T20I match.
Today’s match is most likely to take place on a new ground in Dubai, with the venue set to host a game after a three-day break. So expect a similar type of track with a decent buy for closers, especially with the new ball.

Conditions are expected to be as hot and humid as ever with temperatures expected to reach 40°C by afternoon.
Overall, the Dubai field will provide even bat-to-ball competition, with batting likely to be a bit easier during the second half of the game.
