Two-member COA, including Chairman Vinod Rai and former women captain Diana Edulji, discussed places and window for the league in New Delhi on Tuesday.
It has been said in a statement issued by the BCCI, "On the basis of initial discussion with the appropriate central and state agencies / officials, it was decided that the 12th edition of the world's most popular and competitive T20 tournament will be played in India.
It is proposed that the IPL 2019 will begin on March 23, 2019. Detailed program will be finalized in consultation with appropriate authorities.
Tuesday's statement ended months of speculation about organizing the league, this year there is a possibility of a collision with the Lok Sabha elections, whose dates are not yet out.
It was said in the statement of the BCCI, "CoA had a detailed discussion with all the stakeholders before issuing the IPL 2019 schedule."
The last time the IPL was started in March 2010. After that, the league had always closed in the first half of April and ended in late May. This year is due to the one-day World Cup in England starting May 30. According to the end of the IPL and the new BCCI constitution, there should be a gap of 15 days between India's international engagement.
Due to the general election twice the IPL has been played out of India. The whole 2009 edition was taken to South Africa, while in 2014, some games were played in the UAE.
