The BCCI revealed on Tuesday that the Season 12 of the Indian Premier League will be held in India and will start from March 23, 2019.
"Hon'ble Supreme Court of India appointed Administrator's Committee (COA) to discuss VIVO IPL 2019 sites and window in New Delhi on Tuesday. The BCCI said in a statement that on the basis of initial discussion with the appropriate central and state agencies / officials, it was decided that 12th edition of the world's most popular and competitive T20 tournament will be played in India.

"It is proposed that the Vivo IPL 2019 will begin on March 23, 2019. The detailed program will be finalized in consultation with the appropriate authorities."
It was earlier estimated that BCC can move cash-rich additional overseas keeping in mind the general elections of 2019. The BCCI was working in collaboration with South Africa and the UAE Cricket Board, and it had emerged that South Africa was the first choice.

Another ideology school said that if not in the entire season, then some part of the league can be shifted out of India. With the ICC World Cup starting May 30, 2019, the league will end between March and April.
