Chopra suggests 2 changes to Virat Kohli’s team ahead of 3rd ODI

Team India have already lost the first two games in Sydney. On the other hand, Aussies are enjoying playing against the Indians. They won the ODI series and are looking to whitewash the visitors. With one more match to go, Virat Kohli’s side will play for pride in the dead rubber.

Australia won the ODI opener by 66 runs before winning the second game by 51 runs to go 2-0 lead in the series. Australian batting line-up looks so strong and without any much fuss, they handled Indian bowling attack so easily in the first two fixtures.

Steven Smith is the danger man for the Men in Yellow. He smashed consecutive centuries and was the man of the match in both games as well. In the recently-concluded ODI, Australia registered highest ever total against India in ODI history.

The third and final ODI will take place tomorrow at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Meanwhile, former Indian opening batsman Aakash Chopra has now suggested a couple of changes in Team India’s playing XI for the final ODI against Australia.

Australia were miles ahead in terms of quality but Indians could not even pose a major threat to the hosts. Though the batting has been pretty decent, their bowling was quite the opposite. Aakash Chopra wants India to make the right changes to stay away from humiliation.

Chopra’s suggests changes in India’s playing eleven:

The former opener has nothing to worry about Team India’s batting department. However, he is certain that the selectors will drop Mayank Agarwal. However, India has a lot of issues in the bowling department.

“I will not make any changes to the Indian batting although the team might drop Mayank Agarwal now. If you do it now, what is the use? I don’t think that is right. They should still play Mayank Agarwal and play KL Rahul at No.5. They should not think about too many changes in their batting nor is there a scope for that,” he said.

Chopra highlighted that India should rely on the services of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. “In the bowling, you can surely play T Natarajan in place of Navdeep Saini and you can try to play Kuldeep Yadav instead of Chahal.

That’s about it. If Bumrah and Shami are both fit and do not have any niggle, they are absolutely fine to play, please play them and don’t change anything else,” said Aakash Chopra.

It will be interesting to see how India will respond to the challenge in Australia. On the other hand, Australia would be licking their lips to win another match to complete a clean sweep over the Men in Blue.
