Never speak with Shah Rukh Khan about cricket: Shakib

Maverick all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has revealed that he doesn’t speak with Shah Rukh Khan regarding cricket at all.

The Bangladesh superstar, who was part of KKR’s title-winning campaigns in 2012 and 2014 and will once again play for the team this year, shares a good friendship with the owner SRK.

The two have had long chats together in the past, but according to Shakib, the conversations generally did not include anything related to cricket.

“He (SRK) never speaks with me anything about cricket,” said Shakib on Friday (April 2) during a live Instagram session arranged by the KKR franchise.

“We always talk about our families; he advises me how to keep family happy, what I need to do as a human, how I can become a better human being, etc.”

This, however, is not the first time for Shakib to open up about his relationship with the Bollywood sensation. He always maintained that fact that he learnt a lot from King Khan.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder once again reiterated that he is proud to learn about the big screen hero’s experiences.

“He is a very experienced person. It is a great acquirement for me that he shares his thoughts and ideas with me. I have learnt a lot from him.

“Every time we meet, I feel that he is a very sincere and humble person,” added Shakib.

Shakib, who is now in quarantine in India ahead of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), also named Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge as his most favourite SRK movies.

He further revealed the names of his three favorite current cricketers. They are England’s Ben Stokes, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and India’s Ravindra Jadeja.
