During the T20 Blast, 2021 match between Glamorgan and Gloucestershire at County Ground, Bristol, players from both teams entertained the fans with a sporting carnival. It was a run-scoring fest as both teams kept smashing sixes and fours to keep the match alive and exciting at the same time.

Gloucestershire were slightly better at executing their plans in place as they managed to post a colossal total of 216 for the loss of 2 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Glenn Phillips top-scored for Gloucestershire with an unbeaten 94 off just 41 balls.

The right-handed batsman smashed a flurry of 9 boundaries and 6 hits over the ropes. Benny Howell was the second-best batsman for the team as he scored 53 off 33 deliveries with the help of 6 fours and a six.
Glamorgan batsmen worked their socks off to come close to the total but in the end, they could score 182/8 in 20 overs.

David Lloyd was the pick of the batsmen as he scored 44 off 22 balls while Daniel Douthwaite scored 35 off 17 deliveries including 1 four and 4 sixes. Phillips was adjudged the player of the match for his impeccable knock where he struck the balls in excess of 229.27.

During Gloucestershire’s batting, especially when they were looking forward to scoring runs in the final overs, Glenn Phillips stunned everyone by playing a reverse sweep shot off Daniel Douthwaite’s bowling that travelled a long way for a maximum. The video has gone viral on social media portals.
