Skipper Joty stars again, Bangladesh Emerging whitewash SA

Bangladesh Emerging Women have completed a 4-0 whitewash over South Africa Emerging Women following yet another thumping victory at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The hosts won by 110 runs in the fourth one-day match, which was ruled to be the last match of the tour amid coronavirus concerns.

Opting to bat first, skipper Nigar Sultana Joty brought her second hundred in the series as well as equalling the 101* which she aggregated two games before.

Coming in at three, Joty carried the bat till the innings as he batted 132 balls of which eight went for fours and one went over the boundary line.

Opener Murshida Khatun (41 off 78) and Sobhana Mostary (45 off 52) made notable contributions before Lata Mondal struck 16-ball unbeaten 25 runs cameo. Bangladesh Emerging put 236/4 on board.

None other than Anneke Bosch got going for South Africa Emerging. Being the one of two to make double-figure score for her side, she scored 63 runs from 81 balls.

South Africa Emerging were all-out for 126 runs in 46.5 overs, following their last match’s grim 93.

Leg-spinner Fahima Khatun troubled the South Africans, claming four wickets for 29 including creating a hat-trick opportunity.

Salma Khatun (2/19) and Ritu Moni (1/15) had economical 10-over spells.
