The International Cricket Council (ICC) declared USA Cricket as its 105th member on Tuesday.
The ICC said that development was a historic milestone for the Governing Body established in 2017 to unite and develop the cricket community in the United States after the expulsion of the USA.
According to the ICC Constitution, the application of USA Cricket to become 93th Associate Member was approved by the ICC members after the recommendation of the membership committee at the end of last year by ICC Board and it has been implemented with immediate effect.
As a member of the ICC, USA Cricket is now eligible to receive money according to the ICC Development Funding Policy and can approve domestic and international cricket in the United States.
A change plan has been agreed for the governing body, which has been managed by the ICC US Regional Support Program till date. It will see all the Governing Body obligations transferring to USA cricket under the auspices of the USA Cricket Board of Directors this month.
Recruitment of main members and major management roles will begin at the appropriate time as the immediate priority of the new member.
