RR is still to play at least seven more matches in the present season, but the English wicket-keeper batsman has already hit his third century of the season and is just 100 runs away from tying the record for most centuries in an IPL season.
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli now owns the record for most hundreds in a single IPL season with four.
Kohli also holds the record for scoring the most runs in a single edition of the IPL, with 973 runs in the same season. Buttler, who has 491 runs in the current season, is on the verge of breaking the record.
This time last year, Jos Buttler had never scored a T20 hundred. Now, he’s scored 5 in his last 24 innings – and 4 in his last 8 IPL innings
A remarkable player making the most of his incredible talents – undoubtedly the best T20 batter in the world at the moment
